Atmospheir 1.0

Atmospheir was conceived in 2012 with a simple goal in mind; modernize the address book. As new and nicche networks began to proliferate, our means to exchange and store contact information remained largely the same. Even the standard iPhone dock saw it’s own disruption. As different email clients, internet browsers, and messenging apps replaced native applications there was one that seemed to always remain: Phone

To create something worthy of replacing the native address book Atmospheir strived to refine the process of contact creation, management, and retention — while establishing and maintaining a level of security that empowers, rather than intimidates, users.

We wanted the contact card to be something user’s would want to showcase. Users could fill out as much (or as little information) as they wanted. Details could be parsed into two distinct profiles allowing users the ability to quickly exchange the information they wanted based on relationship.

The activity feed kept users up-to-date with their connections information. User’s were only notified of the information associated with the profile that was shared with them. If a user updated their “personal” email address but they only shared their “professional” profile with you then you wouldn’t see that update. This allowed users the flexibility to manage both the information they shared and the people who had access to it.
